An Elegy to Daron
I wrote this in English Literature class...
Swift spring rain cascades down
Pelting the blossoming blooms
on the new forgotten plains of green
Butterflies flutter away
casts spores of new life
on your now trodden mound
Just reliving those cold days with you
causes my muscles to convulse
to my cold sweat
Seasons will come
and will churn you into dust
while our un-fondness for you will rust
I shall not be so too frank
But you have always been the prank
that none of us would ever thank.
Now that you've found your own personal space
Night and Day, there will be parties
and we'll dance with the butterflies
till their wings fluter the very last time.
-Daron
